Applications are now open for the Churchill Fellowships, a life-changing opportunity to travel abroad for 4 to 8 weeks exploring a topic of your choice, fully funded, and then come home to make change happen.
The Fellowship was set up as a national memorial to Sir Winston Churchill in 1965. It awards 150 travel research grants each year, with the aim of investing in outstanding individuals to gather global knowledge for the benefit of the UK.
Fellowships are open to all UK resident citizens, regardless of qualifications, age or background. This is the chance of a lifetime not only to enhance communities and professions, but also to access funding that does not depend on educational level or professional standing.
Fellows are funded to spend 4 to 8 weeks overseas, researching best practice and innovative ideas in topics and countries of their own choosing. On their return, Fellows are helped to use their findings to make a difference to policy and practice sectors and communities across the UK.
Full details of how to apply, and what fellows have achieved, can be found at www.wcmt.org.uk.

“This Fellowship is a unique opportunity to grow your learning in any number of fields and to bring this knowledge back to the UK to support and develop our communities. I would encourage anyone in Stafford who is interested to look further into this and consider applying.”
